Terms of Service

 

This policy sets out the terms in which Aesthetics by LJ provides service to its patients. Please ensure that you have read and fully understood these terms and conditions prior to booking any treatment. All content is the property of the company owner Ms Lorraine Davis, registered nurse (RNMH) and independent and supplementary nurse prescriber, NMC registered 08G0699E.

The following terms and conditions apply to all visitors and users of Aesthetics by LJ website, clinic, social media platforms and booking site. By accessing these forums, visitors and users acknowledge acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Aesthetics by LJ reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at their sole discretion without notice to users. In the case of any violation of these terms and conditions, the owners reserve the right to seek all remedies available by law and in equity for such violations.

 

Copyright Statement

 

All contents within Aesthetics by LJ website, social media platforms, clinic and booking app are the property of the owner and are protected by copyright. No content or portion of content may be reproduced in any form and are not permitted to be modified, published or distributed without prior consent from the owner. When permission is requested and given from the owner, all appropriate credit must be given to Aesthetics by LJ and/or the creator of the original content.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

​

  1. Bookings are made on a first come first served basis.

  2. All new patients or existing patients requesting a new treatment not previously discussed require a consultation appointment prior to treatment. Any treatment appointment booked before a consultation has been completed will not be approved.

  3. A booking fee of £30 is required to secure all clinic appointments. This fee must be paid at the time of booking and your appointment will not be confirmed until this payment has been made.

  4. For services that are free of charge, a booking fee will be taken to secure your appointment and refunded to you upon completion of your appointment or retained and deducted from the total cost of any additional treatment.

  5. For treatment appointments, a £30 booking fee will be taken to secure your appointment which will be deducted from the total cost of your treatment with the balance to be paid on the day of treatment.

  6. Payment can be made via Credit/Debit card using Aesthetics by LJ booking app.

  7. Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you are required to provide 72 hours notice. Please contact Aesthetics by LJ on 07786320051 or lorraine@aestheticsbylj.com as soon as possible.  

  8. If rescheduling your appointment, when adequate notice has been provided (72 hours) the booking fee will be transferred to secure a new appointment. The transfer of your booking fee will be applied twice only, further changes to your appointment will result in Aesthetics by LJ retaining the booking fee and a new £30 booking fee will be required to make any further appointments.  

  9. If cancelling your appointment, when adequate notice has been provided (72 hours) your booking fee will be refunded to you.

  10. Any appointment not attended or late cancellations (within 72 hours) of your appointment will result in your booking fee being forfeited and retained by Aesthetics by LJ.

  11. In the case of appointments that form part of a course of treatment, one treatment will be deducted from the remaining number of treatments.

  12. Some treatment pathways include a post treatment review appointment. These review appointments must be completed within 2-4 weeks of the initial treatment. A new booking fee is required to secure the appointment which will be refunded to you upon completion. Any review not booked and completed within 2-4 weeks following initial treatment may incur a further fee.

  13. Any treatment discussed must be booked within 12 months of the consultation otherwise a new consultation will be required.

  14. Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may not receive treatment and may result in forfeiting the appointment if sufficient time is not available to complete the required action.

  15. Prior to your appointment Aesthetics by LJ will inform you of any preparation required in advance of your treatment. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in cancellation of your appointment, reduced treatment time or additional fees being applied.

  16. It is important that you provide all medical history asked of you. Aesthetics by LJ will not be held liable for any damage caused because of withheld information or failure to follow instructions from Aesthetics by LJ clinician.

  17. For any treatment bookings, you are not permitted to consume alcohol 24 hours before or after your appointment. If you have consumed alcohol you must alert the clinician as it may not be safe or recommended to proceed.

  18. If you are planning to fly within one month your treatment appointment, please raise this with Aesthetics by LJ clinician at the time of booking your appointment and you will be advised if this is contraindicated.

  19. Please note that children and pets are not permitted in the clinic treatment room. Any child or pet brought to the appointment without another adult chaperone will result in the appointment being cancelled and loss of booking fee and/or treatment value.

  20. All treatment prices listed are starting costs and total prices will vary based on consultation outcome. Prices will be based according to desired outcome and therefore clinician product selection.

  21. Due to circumstances, outside of Aesthetics by LJ control there may be occasions when clinics may be cancelled and therefore your appointment may be cancelled at short notice. Aesthetics by LJ will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible to inform you of this and the next available appointment will be offered. Should this be unacceptable, you will be offered a full refund of your booking fee. Please note that refunds will not be offered for any other expenses you may incur.

  22. Products bought in clinic are non-refundable unless they are faulty. Faulty products must be returned to Aesthetics by LJ clinic for assessment before a refund can be processed.

  23. Treatments are non-refundable. Risks associated with aesthetic treatments are discussed and accepted during consultation/treatment appointments. Treatment costs will not be refunded in any event of adverse reaction or patient dissatisfaction.

  24. Any exemptions or adjustments to any of the stated terms and conditions on an individual basis are at the owner’s discretion only and will not preclude the terms and conditions laid out within this document.

 

Liability

​

  1. Aesthetics by LJ will not be liable in contract or otherwise for any economic loss arising out of or in connection with the provision of goods and/or services to the patient. This includes but is not limited to loss of profit, indirect or consequential loss or damage.

  2. It is the patient’s responsibility to inform Aesthetics by LJ clinician of all relevant medical information prior to each treatment. It is the patient responsibility to provide any updated information or changes to their medical history prior to any treatment.  Aesthetics by LJ will not be liable for any damage that occurs as a result of the patient’s failure to disclose such details.

  3. The patient agrees to comply with all instructions and/or recommendations given to them by their clinician in order to maintain safety and maximise treatment benefit. Aesthetics by LJ will not be liable for any damage caused as a result of patient’s failure to adhere to instructions given.

Promotions

​

  1. At times, Aesthetics by LJ may offer promotional opportunities for new or existing patients. Aesthetics by LJ reserves the right to change any aspect of the promotion without notice.

  2. Promotions may have separate terms and conditions applied to them that are not set out within this document.

  3. Promotional offers are not to be used in conjunction with any other offers unless specifically stated.

  4. All treatments, products and offers are subject to availability and medical suitability following consultation.

 

Complaints

​

  1. Complaints can be made verbally, by telephone or in writing to lorraine@aestheticsbylj.com

  2. Aesthetics by LJ aims to treat all patients fairly and compassionately, and will be pleased to work with you to address any complaint.

  3. You will receive acknowledgement of your complaint within 72 hours or receipt.

  4. Clinic owner will complete investigation into your complaint and may require you to attend an additional consultation/review in order to gain full details and offer you further explanation. 

  5. Aesthetics by LJ will aim to respond to your complaint in writing within 20 working days or where this is not possible, an explanation as to the cause of the delay will be provided.

  6. Any response to complaints made that result in any offering of a good will gesture will require the patient to sign a separate agreement outlining the details.

  7. Complaints made indirectly via a third party or social media are not regularly monitored and will not be responded to via the same platform. You may be advised to submit your complaint directly through appropriate methods as detailed above. Any social media activity intended to cause harassment/alarm or distress will be removed and reported.

 

Gift Vouchers

​

  1. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.

  2. All gift vouchers must be used within 12 months of purchase.

  3. One voucher per person per treatment.

  4. Voucher must be surrendered upon purchase of the treatment.

  5. Applicable to new and existing patients.

  6. All treatments subject to medical consultation for suitability.

  7. Voucher is non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged for money.
